Is Zach really being peppered with these types of questions?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Please refrain from continuing to ask. <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Bears&amp;src=hash">#Bears</a> are not interested in Brett Favre, Tim Tebow or Vince Young. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Yesterday it was Jon Bostic who took over play calling, but with a bye week it makes sense to reevaluate who should be moving forward.

The Phil Emery portion of the presser began with contract talk.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Emery: &quot;We&#39;re going to not talk about contracts during the 2013 season.&quot;</p>&mdash; Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) <a href="https://twitter.com/ZachZaidman/statuses/392357941556547585">October 21, 2013</a></blockquote>

He may be the only one left...

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Emery: &quot;I&#39;ve seen improvement in Shea, in particular his strength against the run.&quot;</p>&mdash; Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) <a href="https://twitter.com/ZachZaidman/statuses/392359219074461696">October 21, 2013</a></blockquote>

Is Emery getting a little snarky?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Bears&amp;src=hash">#Bears</a> GM Emery &quot;We are not in a state of flux those are your (reporter) words not mine&quot;</p>&mdash; Peggy Kusinski (@peggykusinski) <a href="https://twitter.com/peggykusinski/statuses/392360011659100160">October 21, 2013</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

If so I like it!

Oh look, some good news on the injury front!

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Bears&amp;src=hash">#Bears</a> GM Phil Emery said WR Brandon Marshall checked out medically and is OK. Would you believe someone asked about Brian Urlacher?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Odds of Urlacher return &quot;nil,&quot; per Emery. &quot;Brian&#39;s retirement papers came in 3-4 weeks before the season started.&quot;</p>&mdash; patrick finley (@patrickfinley) <a href="https://twitter.com/patrickfinley/statuses/392361308336582656">October 21, 2013</a></blockquote>

This is interesting.

In case you missed it...

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Bears&amp;src=hash">#Bears</a> announce TE Steve Maneri has been released to make room for QB Jordan Palmer</p>&mdash; Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs) <a href="https://twitter.com/BradBiggs/statuses/392360625042501632">October 21, 2013</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Check out Dane's thoughts on that here.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Bears&amp;src=hash">#Bears</a> also announce WR Ricardo Lockette has been released from practice squad.</p>&mdash; Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs) <a href="https://twitter.com/BradBiggs/statuses/392360688225492992">October 21, 2013</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I know, I'm devastated the Ricardo Lockette era is over...

In case you were hoping for some defensive tackle help, Marvin Austin is off the market.
