Chicago Bears Injury Update: Jeremiah Ratliff, Stephen Paea and Major Wright all questionable

Hopefully everyone is enjoying a fantastic Thanksgiving break, I know I am, but the Chicago Bears were hard at work the last three days in preparation for this Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Here's the final and complete rundown on both teams' injuries.

The porous run defense of the Chicago Bears may receive a boost against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday, as both Stephen Paea and Jeremiah Ratliff are listed as questionable (50% chance to play), and both were full participants in Friday's practice. If either of the defensive tackles are cleared to play, it will aid in slowing All Pro running back Adrian Peterson, but if both are cleared to play it will get Corey Wootton back out at defensive end, and cut into the reps of DE Shea McClellin. Two very good things.

Bears head coach Marc Trestman expects both his DTs to suit up this Sunday, he also says that Ratliff will be on a snap count limit as this will be his first action in a year.

Starting safety Major Wright is also listed as questionable because he pulled his hamstring today at practice. As insurance the Bears promoted safety Sean Cattouse from the practice squad and waived defensive lineman Tracy Robertson, who made his Bears debut last week.

If Wright can't go, expect the Bears to start Craig Steltz in his place. The other backup safety, Anthony Walters, was ruled out with a groin injury.

In case you missed it earlier this week, Jay Cutler and Lance Briggs were also ruled out for the Vikings game.

Matt Forte is listed as probable (75% chance to play) with his knee, as is Brandon Marshall with a quadricep. Defensive back Derrick Martin is questionable and kicker Robbie Gould was sent home because of an illness, but his availability for Sunday is not in doubt.

For the Minnesota Vikings, they have ruled out tight end Kyle Rudolph and corner Josh Robinson. Everyone else on their injury report is listed as probable, and all are expected to play. Adrian Peterson (groin) will not miss this game, nor will wide out Joe Webb or rookie corner Xavier Rhodes, who both passed the NFL concussion protocol.
