NFL Week 13 Late Games Open Thread

The place to hang out and chat about today's afternoon and late NFL games.

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

If your gridiron appetite isn't satiated by the Bears game, there are another five contests on today. Your choices for the afternoon games, and things to bear (no pun intended) in mind with regard to the Bears, are:

Atlanta Falcons (2-9) at Buffalo Bills (4-7)

Reason to watch: Oh Atlanta, how the mighty have fallen... the Falcons' remaining games include the Green Bay Packers next weekend, and NFC playoff rivals the 49ers and the Carolina Panthers. Reasons to watch the Bills... hmmm... Jairus Byrd is most likely going to be the top free safety available in free agency at season's end?

St. Louis Rams (5-6) at San Francisco 49ers (7-4)

Reason to watch: The Rams are propping up the NFC West, two full games behind the 49ers and Cardinals and a long way behind the Seattle Seahawks. Their final four opponents, after today, include the Cardinals, Saints, and Seahawks. The 49ers will be facing both the Seahawks and Cardinals in the coming weeks. With any luck, they'll take games off one another in a perfect configuration to help the Beloved.

Cincinnati Bengals (7-4) at San Diego Chargers (5-6)

Reason to watch: The Bengals play the Vikings in the penultimate game of the season; San Diego face the Giants next week and, although the G-Men are third in the NFC East, they've gone 4-1 after a terrible 0-6 start and have pulled the rabbit out of the hat before.

Denver Broncos (9-2) at Kansas City Chiefs (9-2)

Reason to watch: Very little reason, from a purely Bears perspective.  Um, you can see two teams that the Bears won't face in the Super Bowl?

Late game: New York Giants (4-7) at Washington (3-8)

Reason to watch: Well, it's the only game on, on Sunday Night Football. This is the first of their two intradivisional matchups, with the G-Men also facing the Seahawks and Lions in weeks 15 and 16, respectively. Shanahan's mob aren't doing well, but they have an additional NFC East matchup with a trip to Dallas in a fortnight's time.

This is your Sunday late games Open Thread... don't do anything that Kev wouldn't do, unless you want to refer to the TCO as a thing.
