2014 NFL Pro Bowl: Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte represent Chicago Bears

Chicago had two offensive players selected for the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Between a revamped offensive line and a new offensive guru hired as head coach, the Chicago Bears offense has been putting up numbers never seen before in the Windy City.

Along with all of the statistics, running back Matt Forte and wide receiver Brandon Marshall have been voted into the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl.

Forte has 1,229 yards rushing-- good for 4th in the league-- and another 547 yards receiving, with 9 total touchdowns.

Marshall has 94 receptions for 1,221 yards and 11 touchdowns.

This is Forte's second Pro Bowl selection of his career, and Marshall's fifth.

Despite putting up two 200+ yard performances this season, not to mention a total of 1,341 yards, receiver Alshon Jeffery was overlooked for the Pro Bowl, which will probably cause some grumbling among teammates and fans.

Noticeably absent from the roster are any Chicago Bears defensive players.  For the first time since the 2004 Pro Bowl, which was the last Pro Bowl before Lovie Smith was hired, there are no defensive players from the Bears represented.  Unsurprising, considering the challenges on that side of the ball this season.

Congratulations to Forte and Marshall... Now we get to wait and see how this new Pro Bowl 'Draft' is going to go next month.
