We hope you're having a splendid and a safe New Year's Eve, and remember if you're drinking, please don't drive. There are plenty of free transportation options available tonight. And in case you just need an NFL / Bears fix, enjoy this Open Thread. Remember Open Threads are rated WCG-MA.

Chicago Bears fans, at this point we have nothing to look forward to except the off season. The Draft and free agency will be here before we know it.

If you're looking for some NFL draft stuff, SBN already has a Mock Draft up, and here's who they have the Bears taking;

14. Chicago Bears: Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, S, Alabama

Anyone who watched the Bears lose to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday saw shoddy safety play throughout the game. The Bears have needs throughout their defense, so getting the best safety in the draft is a nice place to start. While they also need a defensive tackle, there is depth at the position this year.

I really hope they draft on the defensive side of the ball.

One more SBN nugget, here's their final NFL Power Rankings. Chicago checked in at 15.

New Year's Resolution - Don't be such a pushover. There are still monsters on the Midway, but now they come in the person of Chicago's twin terrors at wideout. Their defense was barely Monsters, Inc. against opposing ground games this season, as everyone from Dick Butkus to Brian Urlacher averted their eyes in shame at the sorry state of Chicago's run D. A healthy Henry Melton will help, but Chicago needs to re-stock the defensive front if they want to recapture the NFC North. (Last week: 15)

The official NFL schedule will be revealed in the Spring, but we do know who the Bears' 2014 opponents will be, so here you go.

The Bears will face the following teams at home; Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins.

And they'll have to travel to face the following teams; Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, New York Jets.

NFL fans, here's the 2013 playoff schedule from NFL.com.

And since this is an open thread, I'll leave you with this...
