Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers both interested in Israel Idonije

Interest in Chicago Bears free agent defensive end Israel Idonije is heating up.

Ian Rapoport, reporter for NFL Network and NFL.com, tweeted earlier today in regards to Chicago Bears defensive lineman Israel Idonije;

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Speaking of the <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23Bears">#Bears</a>: They still want to re-sign DE Israel Idonije and are trying to do so. Must fight off the <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%2349ers">#49ers</a> to make it happen</p>&mdash; Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/315146793358868480">March 22, 2013</a></blockquote>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>In addition to Ropati Pitoitua, the <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23Titans">#Titans</a> have also shown some interest in <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23Bears">#Bears</a> free agent DL Israel Idonije</p>&mdash; Jim Wyatt (@jwyattsports) <a href="https://twitter.com/jwyattsports/status/314801928964022273">March 21, 2013</a></blockquote>

MORE: Chicago Bears sign former Denver Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams

With salary cap room quickly running out for the Bears, they may be hard pressed to get into a bidding war with both the San Francisco 49ers and the Titans.

Izzy's experience at both end and tackle in Chicago makes him an attractive candidate to continue that role with another 4-3 team, or to play 5 technique DE with a 3-4 team like the Niners.
