Chicago Bears fans that are regularly feening for the players to get back on the practice field, have the new coaching staff to thank for the early start. Since there is a new regime in place, the Chicago Bears can start the off season activities during the first week of April.
Marc Trestman and company will get their first look at the team when they kick off voluntary offseason workout program on Tuesday, April 2nd. Teams that didn't make a head coaching change have to wait until April 15th to start off season activities.
They also get an additional veteran mini camp since they have a new coaching staff. Here's the full schedule from the Chicago Bears website;
The Bears will conduct a voluntary veteran minicamp April 16-18 and their rookie minicamp May 10-12. They will hold 10 organized team activity (OTA) workouts from May 13-June 6 before concluding their offseason program with a mandatory full squad minicamp June 11-13.
