While it was widely reported a few weeks ago, the Chicago Bears officially terminated the contract of defensive tackle Matt Toeaina today.

Matt Toeaina arrived at Halas Hall this morning for the start of voluntary workouts, with the intention to begin rehab on his knee, when he was informed of his release.
He was asked to take a pay cut a few weeks ago, and his refusal prompted the initial reports of his termination. The Bears signed DT/DE Turk McBride on March 20th to bolster their d-line depth, but they still may target another in the draft or free agency
Here's the classy tweet by Matt Toeaina from earlier this morning.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Thank you to the @<a href="https://twitter.com/chicagobears">chicagobears</a>organization for the opportunity. Bear fans have a lot to be excited about. God Bless! <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23Beardown">#Beardown</a> and out #75</p>— Matt Toeaina (@JimmyFlySnuka75) <a href="https://twitter.com/JimmyFlySnuka75/status/319067465856454656">April 2, 2013</a></blockquote>
