After adding an offensive lineman in the first round and a linebacker in the second round, the Bears went back to the linebacker position one more time, picking up linebacker Khaseem Greene out of Rutgers with the 117th pick overall.

It can't be stressed enough that DJ Williams and James Anderson were signed to one-year deals - they aren't necessarily part of the future of the team past this season and the Bears needed to add youth to the position. Greene's a two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year, which could go a long way to solidifying the position for the next few years.

Greene adds range and speed to the linebacker position, as well as a knack for knocking the ball out. He's a little smaller and occasionally misses tackles by going too high or too low, but he's a converted safety with a definite ability to cover.
