Best of WCG Draft Open Threads

Well, folks, the NFL Draft is over, and the Bears ended up with a bunch of guys that will play like Hall of Famers in training camp. Okay, sure, that's not true, but Phil Emery took some risks in this year's draft, but only time will tell whether or not they paid off.

This is the WCG Best of the NFL Draft Open Threads. What we have below is a collection of the funniest, craziest, most rec'd comments we could find from our draft threads. Okay, actually just from the round one threads and a little bit from the day two pre-game thread, because those alone totaled around two thousand comments.

As expected, there were plenty of people none-to-pleased with the Bears pick of Kyle Long in the first round, with plenty of salty language thrown about. Anytime you see parentheses, I'm cleaning up the language for you or providing some context for the comment. Overall, not a bad performance. All comments are verbatim and sic'd. Timestamps prove that, yes, that was you freaking out. Apologies if the formatting's weird.

couple more first rounds like this and the emery regime will be gone in 3 years. rams gets a 3 and a 6 from falcons. is the very slim chance that long isnt around at 30 (falcons orig pick) worth two picks. this makes me sick. totally agree with the "outsmarting" comment. shea was example 1, and this is example 2.

Epic rant… succinct followup

would I draft Teo at 50? Maybe, if I was an NFL GM. But, I’m not.

And I don’t like seeing what happens to my fellow fans who are also NOT general managers when thier carefully constructed ideas about what "should" happen come crashing down upon them.
Such angst! So many wishes and hours of contemplation… wasted! Tossed aside like a bridesmaids dress or a christmas tree, loved intensely one day, discarded as trash the next.
Personally, I prefer "Phaith in Phil" and reccomend it to the bretheren. Its a much less angrifiying philosophy than it appears some of you have. :-)
