Hey, here's some fun news for the day:
Former Saints DT Sedrick Ellis has reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears.

Sedrick Ellis, a top-10 pick (#7) in the 2008 draft, attended school at USC, playing for Pete Carroll's version of the Trojans.
Listed at 6'1", 307 lbs, Ellis was a member of the 2009 Saints who won Super Bowl XLIV. Career statistics:
- Games/Started: 70/70
- Sacks: 12.5 (including a team leading 6 sacks in 2010)
- Tackles/Assists: 100/75
Ellis never quite lived up to his draft spot, as some of his numbers will attest, and had visited with Detroit, New England, and others.
He figures to slot into the depth chart and provide a solid piece to the rotation with Melton and Paea. He's played with some talented players before, and should be able to step into the Bears' system and play effectively right away.
Unfortunately for those who were hoping to see Israel Idonije return, this move makes it seem even less likely that #71 will return to the Bears.
