Sources: Gabe Carimi Traded to Buccaneers

The Bears have traded the 2011 first-round draft pick to Tampa Bay for a sixth-round draft pick.

Well, I guess we won't have to worry about what Carimi was doing in Arizona or what the Bears are going to do with him in mandatory minicamps.

Originally via Adam Jahns of the Sun-Times, the Bears have traded the 2011 first-round pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for an unconditional sixth-round draft pick.

With all the additions the Bears made to the offensive line, it was eventually going to be a numbers crunch to determine who left, but this ensures they at least get something back. I think a sixth is a little low, but you might not get much else for a player that missed nearly all of his rookie season and didn't show much in his sophomore campaign.

Zach Zaidman dropped this interesting little nugget about the Jerry Angelo Era:

Best of luck to Gabe in Tampa.
