Too bad Ellis didn't come to this conclusion a few weeks ago. I wonder if he had, would Israel Idonije still be a member of the Chicago Bears? From the Pride Of Detroit,

...the Lions signed him (Izzy) for the veteran's minimum ($940,000). His deal included a $65,000 signing bonus, meaning the total worth of his one-year contract is $1.005 million.

Here's some info on Ellis' deal from Brad Biggs.

Ellis received a $285K signing bonus and $500K of his $1 mil, 1 yr deal was guaranteed. Would imagine Bears would pursue the signing bonus.
— Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs) July 25, 2013

With Ellis walking away, the Bears now have a roster opening.

What do you think about this latest camp development?
