After reporting last Thursday, Camp Trestman is now seven days old, but that 1st day was just a conditioning test, so technically camp is six days old, and since there was no practice yesterday, this is only the 5th day of practice. Got it?
It was a rainy morning in Bourbonnais, so the players had to deal with some footing issues.
Cornerback Tim Jennings was excused from practice for personal reasons, and Zach Bowman filled in across from Charles Tillman.
Wide out Brandon Marshall and defensive end Cheta Ozougwu were both back at practice, but left tackle Jermon Bushrod was held out. Bushrod was still in a walking boot to protect his strained calf. On Monday, it was Jonathon Scott filling in at LT, but today it was Cory Brandon and Eben Britton filling in with the ones.
Scott and defensive lineman Jamaal Anderson were both nursing sore knees.
In other injury news, linebacker D.J. Williams has a calf injury, and receives the "week to week" designation. His calf injury is worse than Bushrod's, so rookie Jonathan Bostic will get some extended action with the starters.
The offense was being tweeted about today during practice, as they worked on some Red Zone stuff. OMG The Defense is showing it's age!
