Chicago Bears Training Camp: 8/1 Recap

Chicago Bears Training Camp was chugging along this morning from Bourbonnais, and we've got a recap of all the pertinent info.

Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

It was a beautiful day at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL, for the Chicago Bears to continue Camp Trestman, and they did so with a few players on the sideline.

Middle linebacker D.J. Williams remains in a walking boot to protect his strained calf. Starting left tackle Jermon Bushrod is out of his walking boot, but not practicing. Defensive end Jamaal Anderson still has a sore knee, as does tackle Jonathan Scott. Lance Briggs is sitting out today, although there doesn't appear to be any injury, just a veteran day off. Tim Jennings was also absent, after being excused yesterday for personal reasons, he was excused again today.

With Bushrod and Scott still out, Eben Britton started the day at left tackle with the ones, but he didn't stay there. He eventually flipped over to the right side, and -- JWEBB Nation rejoice! -- J'Marcus Webb was getting some reps in at left tackle. In more O-Line news, Kyle Long again had reps with the starters at RG, fellow rookie Jordan Mills was working with the twos at RT, and Taylor Boggs was playing center with the twos.

With Briggs sitting out, James Anderson shifted to the weak side OLB, and Blake Costanzo started at the Sam.

Corey Wootton was taken to the locker room at one point to have hip hip looked at. With Wootton missing reps, Shea McClellin spent more time with the ones.

Now let's get down to the nitty gritty...
