Who is the one Chicago Bears player that you will really be focusing on tonight? There's a few I'm interested in seeing play, but after yesterday's wide receiver drama, my pick is rookie wide out Marquess Wilson. By now Wilson's story is well known -- if you need a refresher click here -- and he figures to receive plenty of chances to shine tonight.
If Brandon Marshall is gone longer than expected, if Earl Bennett is either traded, or not able to play for a few weeks while still recovering from his concussion, the Bears will need a wide out to step up. Alshon Jeffery has #1 WR potential, but after him it's the underwhelming Eric Weems, the unknown Joe Anderson, and the promising rookie Wilson.
Even though Wilson has shown some promise, he's still not a lock for the final roster. A year on the practice squad would do wonders for his physical development, but his route running and hands appear to be pro ready. The problem the Bears are faced with, is can they risk exposing him to the waiver wire. I don't think they can.
A good game by Wilson tonight will make their decision easy. I think if Wilson is making plays against the Cleveland backups, he makes the team.
Now it's your turn. Who are you looking forward to watching play tonight?
