Chicago Bears Training Camp: August 07 Open Thread

It's the Shat! The Shat in a hat!

Jeff Gross

The Bears came out of practice yesterday without any new major injury issues which, given how they've been piling up to date, is nice. Check out Lester's recap thread here and media writeups & videos in today's Den.

Tomorrow is a travel day as the team heads off to Carolina for the game against Chico Rivera's Panthers on Friday. Teams don't gameplan for opponents in the preseason but, as our own Steve Ronkowski pointed out, the defense will get to work on containing a mobile QB when Cam Newton's in.

Today's session will inevitably be seen in light of Friday's game and Steven Schweickert lists a six-pack of things that he wants to see from said game. How much from practice carries over into Friday? Personally, I'm curious anxious as to whether the New & Improved offense can look somewhat competent in live conditions, but Cutler may not be in for long if the LT situation is still hampered by injuries.

What are your thoughts?

Starfleet Academy also has a handy Training Camp FAQ which can be found here.

Here's a link to Starfleet regulations so you know what violates United Federation of Planets directives. It may be an open thread, but we still should act fairly civilized, we're not Cardassians.
