The Chicago Bears have three starters already ruled out for this Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Lance Briggs (ribs), Jermon Bushrod (knee/ankle) and Shea McClellin (hand). Also ruled out for the Bears are special teamer/safety Ahmad Dixon (hamstring) and center Taylor Boggs (hamstring).
The Bears are listing linebacker Jon Bostic (back) and corner Sherrick McManis (quad) as questionable, meaning it's 50/50 whether they play. Listed as probable (75% chance they will play) for the Bears are safety Chris Conte (concussion), cneter Roberto Garza (ankle), defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff (concussion) and linebacker D.J. Williams (neck). Ratliff has practiced all week and looks to be ready to play.
Garza has been a full participant all week at practice and looks to be slated to regain his starting role at center. If Garza starts, they will move Brian de la Puente back to the bench. With Bushrod missing his 2nd consecutive game, expect Michael Ola to get the start at left tackle again.
With Briggs out, the Bears may start Christian Jones at the strongside linebacker position and move Bostic over to the weakside OLB spot. Then again, Jones did get in some work at the Will this week in place of Briggs. If Bostic also can't go, it'll be possibly be Khaseem Greene starting at the Will. If MLB Williams is also unable to play, look for Darryl Sharpton to start in the middle.
The Bears could conceivably have Jones, Greene and Sharpton starting at linebacker on Sunday.
With McManis questionable, the Bears could use Brock Vereen or Demontre Hurst at nickelback. They will not kick Tim Jennings inside this week.
The Atlanta Falcons have ruled wide receiver Harry Douglas out for Sunday's game. He hasn't played since injuring his foot in week 3. Wide out/returner Devin Hester is listed as questionable with a hamstring, but not only is he expected to play, he's expected to see an increase in his offensive snap count. Also questionable for Atlanta is starting left guard Justin Blalock (back).
Wide out Julio Jones (ankle), safety Kemal Ishmael (ankle), tackle Jake Matthews (ankle) and linebacker Prince Shembo (knee) are all listed as probable.
What are your thoughts on the injuries this week?
