A move that has been expected all week was made official by the Chicago Bears...

While I'm excited to see the new and improved Wilson play, I also realize this is a guy with only two receptions as a rookie.
But, keep in mind that the Bears were so high on his potential that they decided to use their lone injured reserve/designated to return spot on him. Using that particular IR designation on such an unheralded player speaks volumes about how the coaching staff and GM Phil Emery view his possible contributions.
The 6'4" Wilson added some bulk during the off season (184 pounds to 207 pounds) and he was one of the early stars of training camp before fracturing his clavicle. Back in April Brandon Marshall had this to say about Wilson.
"I really want to talk about Marquess Wilson," Marshall said. "He came down and trained with us the whole offseason. We're really looking for him to do some big things. This guy, he's probably the steal of the draft last year. I'm going to say that. He came in, he put in the work, he looks like a body builder. Fast, strong, explosive. I'm looking forward to seeing him in OTAs."
With tight end Martellus Bennett, and wide outs Brandon Marshall and Josh Morgan all battling injuries, Wilson may see enough snaps to make a difference.
What are your thoughts on Wilson's return?
