**SCORE UPDATE**
Tampa Bay Bucs 0
-----------------------------
After the pleasantries were over, Lovie Smith and his defense went to work quickly, putting pressure on Jay Cutler early and often. So far, the Bears offense has made a few plays, but stalled or turned the ball over in each of their first three drives.
The Bucs offense is what we expected-- ground and pound, running the ball, and low-risk passes from former Bears quarterback Josh McCown.
The Bears defense has looked solid so far, although you can expect a little bit more pass rush as the game progresses.
One period in the books, with three to go. Can the Chicago Bears keep their playoff hopes alive with a win over their much-beloved head coach, in front of a Soldier Field crowd that can get chippy when things don't go well? Sty tuned...
This is your 2nd Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
