Chicago Bears 14

Detroit Lions 24

We've got a real slobberknocker here, folks. The Chicago Bears started the game out hot on offense and defense, tallying a 14-3 score after the 1st quarter.

But in the 2nd quarter, the Lions came roaring back, and scored 21 unanswered points.

As it stands, the Bears are down 14-24.

Chicago will get the ball first to start the 2nd half, so Marc Trestman and Co. will have the opportunity to cut into that lead significantly.

Against the best run defense in the league, the Bears started out throwing, and can be expected to continue throwing. Alshon Jeffery was hot in the first half, and Martellus Bennett had a couple nice looks, but Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall haven't been able to gat on the same page so far. Hopefully that changes pretty quickly.

This is your 3rd Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
