Here's the official tweet from the Chicago Bears.
#Bears have promoted TE Blake Annen from practice squad to active roster and placed G Matt Slauson on injured reserve.

And here's a tweet I shot out earlier about the latest Bears tight end.
#Bears newly promoted Blake Annen is a prototypical "move" TE prospect. He's 6'4", 247 w/ good athleticism, he ran a 4.41 40 at his pro day.

With Martellus Bennett listed as questionable with sore ribs, the Bears needed some insurance at tight end.
The Bears normally carry just two TEs, Bennett and Dante Rosario. They usually use offensive lineman Eben Britton as the "blocking" TE. Britton has already been ruled out and Charles Leno Jr. will be taking on the jumbo TE role this Sunday.
With Slauson on IR, the Bears have inserted Michael Ola into the starting left guard position. Earlier this week they flirted with the idea of Ola playing right tackle and Jordan Mills moving in to guard, but ultimately they decided Mills is a better tackle at this point and Ola is a better guard.
Any thoughts on these two roster moves?
