**SCORE UPDATE**
------------------------------
While there may have been a measurable amount of excitement at Soldier Field just prior to kickoff, it didn't take long for the fans to get restless and start booing their faces off.
The Bears got the ball first, and promptly turned it over on their first possession on a Jay Cutler interception. Add to that some sacks and poor throws, and you've got yourself a half-full Soldier Field, probably half-drunk, and full-on angry.
Luckily, the New Orleans Saints are also a 5-8 team, and are also playing like one. Even Jon Gruden, who normally likes everything about every football game seems visibly frustrated to have to call this game so far.
Can the Bears turn things PENALTY around and get SACK the ball rolling in SACK the 2nd quarter? Stay tuned...
This is your 2nd Quarter Open Thread... have fun!
