Mocking the Mocks: Whom does Todd McShay mock to the Chicago Bears?

Could it really be 2015 Mock Draft time already? It is if you root for the 5-9 Chicago Bears...

Kevin Liles-USA TODAY Sports

I'm absolutely disgusted that I need to pass this info along to you guys on December 17th. But here we are, rooting for a team that has failed to make the playoffs for the 7th time in the last eight years. The Chicago Bears are currently slotted into the 9th draft spot for the 2015 NFL Draft, but with two games remaining, there's still time to move up (or down) a couple more positions.

ESPN's Todd McShay dropped his first mock draft for 2015 and he has the Bears going, in what will prove to be a very popular direction for those mocking the 1st round to Chicago, safety.

Landon Collins
COLLEGE: Alabama - Class: Jr - HT: 6-0 WT: 212 POS: S

Analysis: Safety was a need area for Chicago in last year's draft, and the Bears didn't address the position until the fourth round when they selected Brock Vereen. He's a solid player, but certainly not the talent that Collins is. Collins is a very impressive athlete for the safety position, with a strong, compact build, quick feet, and good length and leaping ability. He's a good open-field tackler, possesses good ball skills and plays with an edge. The Bears need all the help they can get on defense.

For those of you wondering about quarterback, McShay has the top 2 QBs going at 1 and 2 to the two-win Buccaneers and Titans.

Would you guys be happy to see the Bears address safety in the draft?
