The 2014 season has been wild and wacky for a handful of NFL teams, and the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers are among the wildest.

Reports surfaced a few weeks ago that Jim Harbaugh's tenure in San Francisco would likely come to an end after the 2014 season, and soon after came reports that the same was likely in Chicago for Marc Trestman.

Chicago Bears fans immediately began swarming, calling for a Harbaugh-Chicago reunion, but recently we learned that the University of Michigan is all-in on bringing him back to the college ranks.

On Sunday, Jay Glazer reported that while Harbaugh won't give an answer to Michigan until after the season, there may actually be a chance that the Chicago Bears are front-runners for being the coach's next landing spot.

While Harbaugh has had his share of struggles in San Francisco, he also has an impressive football resume, and has been successful everywhere he's ever coached.

For a Chicago Bears locker room that is in such disarray, it could use a veteran head coach to get the pieces all put back together, and you can bet that the next guy in after Trestman is gone will be a veteran with a track record of success.

Will Harbaugh be that guy?
