Last night Chicago Bears wide out Brandon Marshall took a knee to the back from Dallas safety Barry Church after making his 3rd reception of the evening. Marshall remained prone on the field after the tackle and Church looked to the sideline for a trainer to aid the obviously pained Marshall.

After walking off the field under his own power, the decision was made to rush Marshall to a nearby hospital for treatment.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that two sources have told him that Marshall's season is over.

From Schefter's Facebook page about 40 minutes ago.

Bears WR Brandon Marshall remains hospitalized with 2 broken ribs and a collapsed lung that doctors successfully treated, per source. Marshall is out for season.

The Bears haven't officially ruled him out for the last three games, but he will not play this week.
