Report: Jay Cutler's future in Chicago uncertain

There's a harsh divide among Bears fans whether to continue supporting Jay Cutler, but apparently executives for the team are having their own questions.

Generally when it comes to Jay Cutler, you have three sets of people: Those who see his intelligence, arm strength, and athleticism and support him through thick and thin, those that see him as a huge problem as the leader of the Bears, and those that have always disliked Cutler since long before he came to Chicago.

The potential has always been there, but Ian Rapoport says that members of the Bears organization are questioning whether he is their quarterback of the future, and having a serious case of buyers' remorse.

According to this report, the Bears considered benching Cutler during their game with the Tampa Bay Bucs, but apparently didn't because Jimmy Clausen is the backup.

There is a serious "frustration" with the way Cutler has played this season, and, according to Rapoport, the team considered benching him during his dismal showing versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers three weeks ago. However, the Bears didn't, mainly because Jimmy Clausen is the backup.

No matter where you fall on the Jay Cutler support scale, the next few months are going to be interesting.
