Yesterday we looked at defensive back Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, and today, we'll look at a position that to my eyes was the core of the defense's issues - the defensive line. More specifically, we'll look at defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan of Florida State.
Jernigan is a defensive lineman with good movement, good balance and good agility for a three-hundred pound man, but one of his criticisms per Dane Brugler of CBS Sports is poor snap anticipation, that he's all too often the last defensive lineman off the snap, as well as being a raw prospect. Coming into this season he had only two career starts.
Walter Football currently has him at 12 to the Giants; two of CBS' mockers put Jernigan to the Cowboys at 17, while Brugler puts Jernigan to the Bears at 14.
The Bears have to get a young pass-rusher into their defensive line, and Jernigan may be a risk worth taking. Your thoughts?
