Best news of the day:
The #Bears have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Charles Tillman.
— Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) March 14, 2014
Tillman, a second round draft pick by the Chicago Bears in 2003...who am I kidding? You know who I'm talking about.
Tillman has been a starter since his rookie year. In an injury shortened 2013, he had 3 interceptions, 7 pass defenses, three forced fumbles, and 33 tackles.
In his career he has 40 forced fumbles(!), 36 interceptions, 9 touchdowns, 737 tackles. He's the 2014 Walter Payton Man of the Year award winner, due to his outstanding character and charity on and off the field. He's an all around good dude.
If it is a one-year deal, that's interesting, as you'd thought his pay would necessitate spreading it across. Perhaps a discount for a fanbase he clearly loves? We'll bring you more details on it as we know.
Discuss how happy you are below.
