When checking out the strength of schedule for the 32 teams in the National Football League, the Chicago Bears come in 15th overall. Their opponent winning of .496 brings them below the 13th ranked Green Bay Packers' .504. Rounding out the NFL North, the Detroit Lions are 16th at .492 and the Minnesota Vikings are 21st at .477.
On paper at least, there's a good chance all four teams in the division will improve. The Bears were very active in free agency, the Packers are perennial playoff contenders, the Lions rid themselves of a poor head coach, and the Vikings have too much young talent not to improve on their 5-10-1 record.
Even though we're still waiting for the official schedule to be released, we do know which teams the Bears will face at home and on the road. The winning percentage of the teams the Bears will take on at Soldier Field is a 28th best .453. When they travel in 2014, their strength of schedule is considerably tougher. They have the 8th toughest road schedule at .539.
