Cliff Stein must have ants in his pants. The Bears' Vice President of Football Administration and General Counsel can't seem to sit still, and year after year puts that to good use by getting the team's rookie draft class signed well ahead of the field.
Only one day after getting Brock Vereen and David Fales on the books, and a few hours after news broke that the Bears had signed Charles Leno Jr and Ka'Deem Carey, he was at it again:
LM: #Bears have agreed to terms on 4-year deals with 2nd-round pick Ego Ferguson and sixth-rounder Pat O'Donnell.

Ego Ferguson is expected to be a part of the defensive tackle rotation on the line and was primarily drafted for his run-stuffing prowess, backing up Stephen Paea in the final year of his rookie contract, while the fact that the team used a draft pick on Pat O'Donnell suggests he'll likely be given every opportunity to win the starting punter's role. The Bears are currently also carrying punters Tress Way and Drew Butler on their 90-strong offseason roster.
Check out Over The Cap for their estimates on rookie contracts if you're into that sort of thing.
