The Chicago Bears have two starting caliber cornerbacks; the problem is both are over 30, and one of them just suffered through an injury plagued season. Their 2nd year nickelback didn't really wow anyone, so they are in need of more talent at the position.

If Phil Emery decides to go corner in the first, he could have his choice from four of those top five players up there. Many mocks have only one CB off the board by the time the Bears pick at 14, and some have all remaining.
The only top corner the Bears have been linked to is Kyle Fuller. The Bears had him in for a private workout and they were at his pro day.
Across the board, Fuller is a very good cornerback. At Virginia Tech, he showed the agility and fluidity to run with receivers vertically, and he has the speed to keep up. Should be capable of playing man or zone well. Flashes good awareness, instincts and range. Can play outside or in the slot. Needs to get better jamming receivers at the line of scrimmage. He keeps good leverage throughout a route and can handle himself against bigger receivers. Shows he can find the ball in the air in a hurry. Has solid closing speed. Good tackler.
Fuller seems like an Emery kind of pick in the first round and I would not be surprised if he were the guy.
Since they were at the Virginia Tech pro day, they also got to see Antone Exum work out. Exum has safety traits and size, so the Bears could opt for a position change if they draft him. He is projected to be an early third day pick.
If the Bears' draft lines up with a safety and defensive tackle in the first two rounds, a guy like small school prospect Walt Aikens could be had in the third or fourth round. The Bears had him in for a private workout and we're probably enamored with his length and 4.49 speed.
Brad Biggs tweeted out the following recently.
#Bears have shown interest in Florida CB Jaylen Watkins (private workout) & Lindenwood CB Pierre Desir. Could be 2nd or 3rd rounders.
