Alshon Jeffery ranked 54th on the NFL's Top 100: Do you think that's too high?

The Chicago Bears have placed another player on the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2014. Second year wide out Alshon Jeffery checks in at number 54. Do you think that's too high, too low, or just right?

Jonathan Daniel

Second year wide receiver Alshon Jeffery of the Chicago Bears had a fantastic 2013 season that he capped off with an appearance in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl. His 89 receptions were 10th best in the NFL, while his 1,421 receiving yards were 6th best. He added seven touchdowns and 62 of his catches resulted in a 1st down. He's clearly one of the top young stars in the NFL, but does he deserve to be ranked among the league's best?

Since the players are the ones voting for the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2014 list, it makes sense that someone with so many highlight reel catches and eye popping numbers would garner the votes to make the list. He is the fifth receiver to show up on the list.

Jeffery is actually the fourth Bear to make the list, and I can think of at least one more that should pop up at some point.

In case you missed it, Matt Forte checked in at 91, Tim Jennings was 74 and former Minnesota Viking and current Bear Jared Allen was 68.

What do you think about Jeffery's ranking, and the ranking of the other Bears on the list?
