The Bears return to the fields of Bourbonnais after having had Tuesday off. Not in action were safeties Chris Conte and Craig Steltz (both still recovering from surgery) and Kyle Long (viral infection). Tim Jennings and Alshon Jeffrey, both of whom sat out Monday's session, were participanting today.
On to what the reporters tweeted...
The Bears had a visitor at camp:

Tim Jennings is limited, and the Bears aren't risking making his quad issue worse:
Looks as if #Bears are easing CB Tim Jennings (quad) back in. Jennings on sidelines during first 11-on-11 drill.

Can't keep the big fella down:
Although Kyle Long is not practicing, he's been active. Has worked several times on getting out of his stance.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) July 30, 2014
A change of scenery at safety early on:
Danny McCray is running with Ryan Mundy and the 1's to start team drills. Brock Vereen with Adrian Wilson and the 2's.
— Kevin Fishbain (@kfishbain) July 30, 2014
I can't remember a safety making a single play on the ball over first four practices. Smart to mix up the reps from time to time.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) July 30, 2014
Ditto with the D-line:
#Bears shuffling in some different DL with first-team: Nate Collins, Tracy Robertson, Trevor Scott and Austen Lane.

Rub some dirt on it!
#Bears OL Eben Britton injured in 1 on 1 pass rush still vs Jeremiah Ratliff. Grabbed left leg. Standing now so that is a positive
— Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs) July 30, 2014
#Bears G/T Eben Britton being carted off the field. Was able to walk to trainer's tent under his own power, however.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) July 30, 2014
Britton has a hamstring injury. Listed as day-to-day.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) July 30, 2014
Weems' stock seems to be on the rise:
Play of the day thus far: Cutler drops a perfect ball in to Weems, who had just enough separation from two defenders on a 30-yard play.
— Kevin Fishbain (@kfishbain) July 30, 2014
Nice catch by Eric Weems on a Cutler deep ball. Weems having probably the best camp of any of the WRs after the top 3 on depth chart.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) July 30, 2014
D-line gettin' after it:
Tons of batted passes today. The latest: David Bass and Ego Ferguson
— Patrick Finley (@patrickfinley) July 30, 2014
Newest signing embracing the notion of carpe diem:
Welcome back, Dale Moss. Leaping grab over middle in traffic. Impressive.
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) July 30, 2014
Offensive highlight / defensive lowlight:
Alshon Jeffery's sore foot looks just fine, just made a 30-35 yard catch from Jay Cutler down the sideline against Kyle Fuller. #Beara
— Adam Jahns (@adamjahns) July 30, 2014
#Bears CB Kyle Fuller gets burned -- again -- by WR Alshon Jeffery on a deep sideline route in 11-on-11.
— Bob LeGere (@BobLeGere) July 30, 2014
Good news regarding Kyle Long:
Bears announce that Kyle Long has been cleared to return to practice. Will condition for next couple days w/o pads per CBA.
— Dan Wiederer (@danwiederer) July 30, 2014
With first preseason game 9 days away, hard to imagine Kyle Long will play in it. Can't imagine he practices for a few days
— Patrick Finley (@patrickfinley) July 30, 2014
Trestman: Bears hope Kyle Long will practice in pads for the first time on Saturday night at Soldier Field.
— Rich Campbell (@Rich_Campbell) July 30, 2014
Bearsss.
Practice over. #Bears win.
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) July 30, 2014
A little after-practice instruction from a Hall of Famer:

— Kevin Fishbain (@kfishbain) July 30, 2014
A positive for McCray, or a negative for Vereen?
#Bears wanted to give S Danny McCray a look with first-team. Trestman thinks McCray is having a good camp. But nothing is set in stone.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) July 30, 2014
That's practice over with for the day and there's a fresh injury concern with Eben Britton's hamstring. Other than that, what caught your eye?
