The Bears went back to Bourbonnais for another three-day set of consecutive practices. The biggest news at the start of today's practice was the return of Martellus Bennett, his suspension lifted after missing the first preseason game.
Oh, I guess this might be some news as well.
#BearsTalk S Chris conte practicing 1st time. Paired w/ Adrian Wilson. Could be #Bears best safety tandem.

Chris Conte has "a list of people he wants to prove wrong."
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) August 10, 2014
Chris Conte and Craig Steltz practicing for first time in this training camp. #Bears not in full pads today.
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) August 10, 2014
Bears CB Tim Jennings (quad) is dressed in shoulder pads for practice. He has tried to come back twice before, only to sit out again.
— Rich Campbell (@Rich_Campbell) August 10, 2014
Sitting out Sunday: Britton, Frey, Chris Williams, Mills, de la Puente.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) August 10, 2014
De la Puente has been diagnosed with a grade 2 MCL tear and will probably sit out a couple weeks.
Easing Conte back in? Nope!
working w/1's too. RT "@DRULZ29: @mikecwright oh joy!!! #sarcasm"
— Michael C. Wright (@mikecwright) August 10, 2014
Bennett got thrown right back in as well.

Tillman gets his hands on a football, sky blue, grass green.
Charles Tillman with a near interception in 7-on-7. Second ball Tillman's deflected today.

A nickel package of Lance Briggs and DJ Williams is getting a little more looking-at.
DJ Williams with L Briggs in 1N defense for a snap. Was there vs #Eagles
— John Mullin (@CSNMoonMullin) August 10, 2014
Adrian Wilson earned some more high reps.
#BearsTalk conte-a Wilson at safety, then Wilson-vereen. Wilson good game vs #Eagles, no surprise moving up

Our own Kev H offers some outstanding criticism from Bears camp today.

Estimated temperature: 1 million degrees. "@ESPNChiBears: 18,000 is the estimated crowd at Sunday's practice. #Bears"
— Kev (@Kev_WCG) August 10, 2014
Just when I thought I wasn't going to see any failed jerseys, a Michael Bush Nike jersey comes through for the win.
— Kev (@Kev_WCG) August 10, 2014
He also found Tillman getting some maintenance.
Tillman currently getting that left tricep wrapped.
— Kev (@Kev_WCG) August 10, 2014
Uh oh.
Neither #Bears punter impressing.
— John Mullin (@CSNMoonMullin) August 10, 2014
The Bears picked up Rob Turner, with all the offensive line injuries. Separate post will come shortly, but Lester offers some insight into the free agent.
With Britton, de la Puente and Mills all sidelined it makes sense for the #Bears to sign another o-lineman. Rob Turner can play C, G and T.
— Lester A Wiltfong Jr (@wiltfongjr) August 10, 2014
The Bears still won, by the way.
Practice over. #Bears return to Bourbonnais victorious. 17,500 fans watched today's session at Olivet Nazarene University.
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) August 10, 2014
Marc Trestman also offered a few thoughts after practice.
Trestman: "We didn't play well on special teams. We're mindful of that."
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) August 10, 2014
Trestman on his defense after the preseason opener: "I thought we had a good start."
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) August 10, 2014
Trestman on Conte: "We've seen him do very good things. He's got to do it consistently."
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) August 10, 2014
Trestman says Marquess Wilson's recovery from clavicle surgery will last into the regular season.
— Zach Zaidman (@ZachZaidman) August 10, 2014
Marc Trestman believes Jordan Mills (foot) will return soon.
— Jeff Dickerson (@ESPNChiBears) August 10, 2014
