We made it, folks.
We slogged through four preseason games, including last week's debacle against Seattle and this week's annual finale of backup badness against the Browns, to get to this point.
After tonight, we are final cuts away from the regular season.
David Fales started and played the entire game, and had some flashes of good to go with some flashes of bad. The Bears rested 29 healthy scratches, but the Browns started their starters and got everybody one final tuneup. Fales started out hot in the first half, throwing a touchdown to Santonio Holmes and giving the Bears a 10-7 lead in the second quarter.
After that, Johnny Manziel capped a touchdown drive with a toss to Jim Drey and the Browns didn't look back. They pulled away with four straight Billy Cundiff field goals and an Isaiah Crowell 48-yard touchdown run, and the Bears fell to the Browns 33-13.
We'll have our final Preseason Notes for you in the morning. For now, the preseason is over.
