Bears Roster Cuts 2014: Roster Down to 53 Today

It's Cut-Down Day. The Bears have to have the roster at 53 by 4:00 PM Eastern time. Will somebody unexpected get cut or make the roster?

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

Today can be the single best or worst day for a young player trying to realize their dream of playing the NFL.

Roster cuts are due today, as teams work to get their roster under the 53-man limit by 4 PM Eastern Time.

Yesterday the Bears cut 5 of the 22 players necessary to get under that limit, and with the tweet from Peggy Kusinski yesterday that the Bears may be using their Injured Reserve/Designation to Return on Marquess Wilson once cuts are over and they can bring a player back, one of those players may have a second life.

We'll track today's cuts for you as we make our way to the 53. Yesterday, the Bears parted ways with Jordan Lynch, Rob Turner, Jeron Mastrud, Dennis Roland and Armanti Edwards. Who will be the seventeen players next?

Apparently that news is out already, as Brad Biggs reports Taylor Boggs and Marcus Trice will be waived.

So how does that impact the Cut Table? Here's the table listing the cuts currently made.
