Chicago Bears training camp 2014: August 05 open thread

Earl Bennett's life has taken a whole new direction since leaving the Bears.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Welp, yesterday's practice was marred by the news that Marquess Wilson has a broken clavicle.  With one injury already on the books, it's no wonder coach Marc Trestman blew his lid when Martellus Bennett decided to body slam Kyle Fuller - 70lbs lighter than him - to the ground, and decided to call off scrimmages early.  If you missed anything, you can catch up in the open thread, take a look at the recap post, and then there's today's Bears Den.

The Bears take to the practice fields for the second of three consecutive open sessions ahead of Friday's preseason opener against the Eagles.  Hopefully there won't be anything else bad happening today; to help lift the mood a little here, check Lester's always-fun weekly 10 Thoughts post where the conversation has turned to Jay Cutler's twitch, and bassist33 posted a link to a parody song about it from the Tribune:

Second from the left, with the auburn ponytail?  I may have just found a potential future Mrs Spongie.....

We'll have the usual recap for you after practice.  Ready, steady, go!
