Back in June we brought you the news that Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman joined the National Advisory Board of Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). Other members of their board with Chicago ties are former Chicago Bulls head coach Phil Jackson, Bulls and Chicago White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf, Northwestern University head football coach Pat Fitzgerald, Northwestern head basketball coach Chris Collins and DePaul women's soccer coach Erin Chastain.
The PCA is a a national non-profit that focuses on developing "Better Athletes, Better People" by providing youth and high school athletes with a positive and character-building youth sports experience. The organization and Trestman are a perfect match, as Trestman stands for everything the PCA is trying to accomplish.
The video above, which the PCA will use in their resources and workshops for schools and youth sports organizations across the country, touches on a number of topics including NFL locker room culture, hazing, what he looks for in an NFL player, dealing with adversity, sportsmanship and more.
For more info on the PCA you can visit their website and for more on Marc Trestman be sure to check out the video above.
