So now we're already back to this. We can't go three weeks without having to have a Bears-less Sunday, apparently.
But that's okay, because there's still some intriguing football on today, including an early matchup of the Packers and Lions as both teams try to claw themselves out of the 1-1 gridlock the entire division is in.
The division matchups this week go as follows:
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
1:00 PM ET
Reason to Watch: Think I just went over this above, but did you know this year there are 17 teams still with 1-1 records? And did you know the entire league's record is a .500 winning percentage? (Yes, that is sarcasm.)
Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints
1:00 PM ET
Reason to Watch: Who had the Saints at 0-2 at this point in the year? I think the Saints are singlehandedly responsible for a fair amount of elimination pool failures this year. Also, the Vikings are 1-1.
We'll have our usual pre-party shenanigans tomorrow, including WCG links of the Bears/Jets matchup on Monday Night Football, but for now, this is your gathering thread for the day's NFL action.
As always, Open Thread Responsibly (TM).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That doesn't mean we're not doing the WCG Sunday Livestream. It'll be just me, myself, and I today, but we'll go for at least an hour, maybe the normal two. Sam and I will stream tomorrow night, as well.
Join me as I break down last week's Bears/Niners game, preview the Bears/Jets Monday Night Football matchup, and discuss any NFL happenings as we inch our way to kickoff of the early games.
If you want to comment, ask a question, etc., there are a couple ways to go about that:
- Here, in this very comment thread - if you don't know where that is, I'll be asking you how you got here.
- Over on my Twitch channel at http://twitch.tv/sjs_illini
- Over on my Twitter at @SJS_illini.
I'm aiming for a 9:30 AM CT start, but we may start a little late. Either way, when this little video window lights up with Madden and such, we begin. See you guys then.
