Brandon Marshall injury update: Bears wide receiver leaves MNF game with an ankle/leg

Halfway through the 2nd quarter on Monday night, Brandon Marshall gets taken to the locker room.

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall injured his right ankle in week 1 of the NFL season, and on Monday night, it appeared he potentially re-aggravated the same injury.

Halfway through the 2nd Quarter, Marshall's right leg was rolled by a New York Jets defender, and although he walked off the field under his own power, he was obviously in a lot of pain. Just before the broadcast cut to commercial, you could hear Marshall say "I rolled my ankle."

He was looked at on the sideline by team doctors and trainers, and promptly taken back to the locker room for further evaluation.

As soon as we hear the extent of the injury, we will update this post.

Until then, click over to our 2nd Quarter Open Thread, where we have a pretty live discussion going on as the Bears lead the Jets 17-13.

**UPDATE #2**

Brandon Marshall is back on the field for the 2nd half. Marc Trestman says he doesn't know how much Marshall can do, but he's going to put him on the field and let him try to go.
