The Chicago Bears defense certainly missed defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff, who missed the first four games of the season due to a 3-game suspension stemming from a 2013 DUI, and an extra game nursing an ankle injury sustained during the preseason.
Ratliff's presence was immediately felt during the game versus the Kansas City Chiefs, as he is by far the best defensive lineman the Bears have, and came out looking a bit lighter and with a quicker burst than expected.
On several plays, Ratliff was getting off the line at the exact instant the ball was snapped, and while he didn't have the best game of his career, he was all over the ball carrier the entire game. We can expect his game to improve each week as he gets more reps under his belt.
After the game, the players loaded up on the plane to head back to Chicago, and Ratliff made a little video to the fans of the Bears:
