The Chicago Bears are on a two-game winning streak, and currently touting a 2-3 record after the first five weeks of the season. That might not seem like a big deal, but considering how badly the injury bug keeps biting this team, it's significant. All credit goes to head coach John Fox, and coordinators Adam Gase and Vic Fangio. Not only are they putting their team into positions to be successful, they're getting the best out of their players that they possibly can.
For Week 5, the Bears have opened up as 3 point underdogs to the 0-5 Detroit Lions. Playing at Ford Field undoubtedly helps things swing Detroit's way a little bit, but those odds just don't add up. However, it could be argued that the Lions aren't nearly as bad as their 0-5 record would indicate, and a win over a Chicago team that's driving on a flat tire wouldn't be too big of a surprise.
If the Bears can get one more win under their belt, they'll be in pretty decent shape headed into the Bye week. And if any team in the league could use an extra week's rest right now, it's Chicago.
