Chicago Bears Mock Draft: With the #1 overall pick, the Bears select: QB Jared Goff

Two of the most popular topics in the NFL: The NFL Draft, and the quarterback position. What if the Bears had the #1 pick?

Dan Kadar at SB Nation's Mocking the Draft is one of the best in the business, and has consistently been one of the more accurate mock drafters around the internet.  We're glad he's on our team...

With four games of the 2015 NFL season complete, and a week deeper into the NCAA schedule, things are starting to take shape from where teams might be picking, and what players might go in the first round.

Most people agree that the most important position on any football team is the quarterback, and Chicago Bears fans just love to talk about Jay Cutler.  Will Cutler be around for the 2016 season?  Is next year's draft the time to start looking for a replacement?

Kadar has the Bears picking at #1 overall in this version of his mock draft, and taking QB Jared Goff from California.

Here's what Kadar had to say:

If the Bears end up having the first pick in the draft, it should signal a roster reset starting with quarterback. As things look right now, Goff is the only surefire first-round quarterback in the 2016 draft. He might not have a classic cannon arm or huge frame, but Goff's ball placement is very good and he makes few mistakes.

If you're into highlight reels, you can check out some of Goff's stuff below:

Of course, we're hoping the Bears don't end up selecting #1 overall next year, but if they do, is Goff the guy?
