**SCORE UPDATE**
Chicago Bears 10
Minnesota Vikings 10
--------------
We've got one half of football in the books, and for the most part it was uneventful and frustrating. The offense wasn't able to get much of anything going, and a large part of that has to do with the make-shift offensive line. Of course that changed on the final possession of the held when Jay Cutler finally connected with Alshon Jeffery in the end zone.
The offensive play-calling has been questionable at times, but it's hard to draw up plays that will be successful when the battle is being lost in the trenches.
And defensively, the Bears have been unable to generate any type of legitimate pass rush, but there have been a couple flashes by linebacker Christian Jones that was fun to see. Also, good job, Kyle Fuller.
On a positive note, we saw Robbie Gould kick a 55-yard field goal in the 1st half, which was the third-longest in his career (58 yards in 2013, and 57 in 2011).
Can the Bears get something put together in the 2nd half and send the Vikings home with a loss? Stay tuned...
This is your 3rd Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
