The Bears Den: November 17, 2015 - Chicago Bears news and updates

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

When we see the Chicago Bears defense take the field each week, we see a few key positions where the player doesn't really fit the profile. Most obvious are our outside linebackers that are really just converted defensive ends.  This was a challenge for new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, as he came to town to implement his 3-4 base defense without too many 3-4 players.

So the Bears are making do with what they have to work with, and doing a great job improvising, but it does make you wonder what type of overhaul the defense will get this coming offseason.  Jared Allen was traded to the Panthers a few weeks ago, and Willie Young has asked twice for a trade so he can go be a 4-3 defensive end again.  At this point it's just sort of out there in the public.

When you look at the defensive side of the ball, and assume that next year Vic Fangio will still be in town, what do you see happening to the roster?
