Chicago Bears promote Jacoby Glenn, waive Terrance Mitchell

The Chicago Bears continue tinkering with the bottom of their roster, looking for another diamond in the rough.

The Chicago Bears have announced that they promoted rookie Jacoby Glenn from their practice squad. To make room for Glenn, they waived corner Terrance Mitchell.

Glenn was signed by the Bears after the 2015 NFL Draft after going undrafted out of the University Of Central Florida. He was part of the final wave of cuts this offseason, but then he was immediately signed to their practice squad.

EDIT: And speaking of the practice squad, as soon as Mitchell passed through waivers, the Bears signed him back to their practice squad.

At UCF Glenn only played 2 years, but he started 25 games, with 100 tackles, nine interceptions (with 7 of them coming his sophomore season), 26 pass break-ups, two sacks, four tackles for losses and three forced fumbles.

The Bears list Glenn at 6', 180 pounds and at the NFL combine he ran a 4.64 forty with a 34' vertical. He was often left on an island in coverage at UCF, and he never shied away from contact.

I know a lot of Bears fans were high on his potential, do you guys think he can have a Jonathan Anderson type of impact?
