When the Chicago Bears came off their Bye week after Week 7, they squared off against division rival Minnesota, and got flat-out beaten. It left a lot of questions from Bears fans regarding preparation, considering they had two weeks to get ready for the Vikings.
We don't expect a first year team (first year under new coaches, new schemes, etc.) to come out and win every ballgame, but we at least expect them to look good in a game they've had an extra week to prepare for. So after dropping that one to Minnesota and falling to 2-5, there wasn't a lot of hope left for the season.
But now John Fox and crew have his Bears on a two-game winning streak, and could be setting themselves up for a playoff run if they can win this week against the Broncos, and next week against the Packers.
Can it happen? Absolutely. Is it likely? Not in many people's minds.
Step one: Win today.
This is your Bears vs Broncos 1st Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
