Chicago Bears vs San Diego Chargers Injury Report: Hroniss Grasu doubtful, Matt Forte and Eddie Royal ruled out

The 2-5 Chicago Bears travel to play the 2-6 San Diego Chargers in a Monday Night Football showdown between two teams struggling to get their seasons back on track. The Bears have dropped their last two games, while the Chargers have lost their last four.

As expected, the Bears have ruled running back Matt Forte (knee) out for the game, meaning rookie Jeremy Langford will receive his first start of his young career. Also ruled out is wide out Eddie Royal (knee). Neither Forte nor Royal practiced all week.

Rookie center Hroniss Grasu (neck) is listed as doubtful (75% chance he will not play), so we may see Vladimir Ducasse (LG), Matt Slauson (C) and Patrick Omameh (RG) starting across Chicago's interior for a second straight week.

Outside linebacker Pernell McPhee returned to practice today after sitting out on Thursday and Friday with a sore knee. The Bears list him as questionable (50/50), but McPhee says he will play. Also questionable is inside backer Shea McClellin (knee), who is looking to play his first game since week 5.

There are a couple offensive players listed as questionable for the Bears, tackle Jermon Bushrod (shoulder) and back up tight end Zach Miller (shoulder).

Wide receiver Cameron Meredith (ankle) and inside linebacker LaRoy Reynolds (knee) are both probable (25% chance they will not play).

Bryce Callahan, who looked good in his debut at nickleback last week, was cleared by the concussion protocol and should start at slot corner for the Bears, although he is listed as questionable.

For the Chargers, earlier this week they put starting wide out Keenan Allen on injured reserve. Allen was a huge part of their offense and Charger QB Philip Rivers will miss his presence.
