A couple weeks ago, Antrel Rolle said the Chicago Bears could just as easily be 5-2 as they are 2-5... And based on the way the 2015 season has gone, he could very easily be correct.
On Monday night, the Bears faced off against a reeling San Diego Chargers team, and while there was plenty of plays left on the field, they figured out a way to close the deal and walk away with 22-19 win.
Could you imagine that Robbie Gould would miss two field goals? Likely not. Could you imagine Jay Cutler would throw a pick-6 and still have played lights-out football? Probably so.
Some final stats-
Jay Cutler: 27/40, 345 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Alshon Jeffery: 10 rec., 151 yds
Jeremy Langford: 10 rushes, 72 yds, 1 TD | 3 rec., 70 yds
Martellus Bennett: 8 rec, 57 yds, 1 TD
Philip Rivers: 26/ 42, 280 yds, 1 TD
And of course, along the way, Jay Cutler set yet another Chicago Bears all-time passing record, and potentially the most impressive one to date: Passing touchdowns.
Game ball goes to Cutler, but he's going to have to share it with Jeremy Langford (LINK) and Alshon Jeffery. And Lamarr Houston to boot.
